Achievements

Over the last two years, our examination results have continued to show an upward trend. In summary:

• Students at KS3 show good levels of attainment.

• At GCSE the 2007 and 2008 results have placed the school in the top 25% nationally.

• At AS/A2 students have shown continued improvement and importantly each year has resulted in increased numbers  of students successfully gaining university places.

• In both 2007 and 2008 every student who applied for a university place was successful in gaining one.

The school’s attendance rate has continued to show improvement and have for the past three years exceeded government and local authority targets. Our students enjoys school and so attend regularly.

1177 is the total number of registered students of compulsory school age on roll during the reporting period. 5.7 is the percentage of half days missed due to authorized absence. 1.7 is the percentage of half days missed due to unauthorized absence. Attendance was 93%.
