Students from Pent Valley Technology College transformed boarding opposite Walmsley House Residential Home in Princess Street Folkestone, into a bright modern piece of art, at the request of the local community.

There will be a trip to Thorpe Park on Saturday 24th March.  The coach will leave the school at 8.30am, and return by 6.00pm.  Please note all payment must be in by Friday 2nd March.

A Parents’ Guide to Technology, which we have launched at www.saferinternet.org.uk/advice-and-resources/a-parents-guide

The online resource introduces smartphones, gaming devices and other internet-enabled technologies such as the iPod Touch and iPad, helping parents to understand how young people are using these devices as well as the potential risks they may face. There is an FAQ section for each technology, answering some of the common questions that parents have, such as “How can I help my child stay safe when accessing the internet on their smartphone?” and “How might my child communicate with people using their gaming device?”

Pent Valley is proud to be hosting the ‘Chinese World Mathematics Olympics Final’ on Tuesday 17^th January. Last year more than 150 students (aged 10-16) from all around the world took part in this major event. This competition consists of two tests, one paper test, and one module test.

The Chinese instigated the event, and have hosted the competition for many years. They like to compete with other nationalities, and are sending their own team. Some of Pent Valleys students will be competing alongside them. The winner of the competition will receive £1000!
